Radio, Film analysis The dramatic and uplifting movie â€Å"Radio† starring Cuba Gooding JR. and Ed Harris, is based on the true life story of James Robert Kennedy, a k a Radio; a mentally retarded young African-American who spends his days pushing a shopping cart around the streets of Anderson, a small South Carolina town, collecting junk and old radios. The movie starts with the heartbreaking scene of Radio pushing his cart around the town, in his own little world; people are ignoring him, and a lady pulls her daughter out of the way, running towards the opposite sidewalk. Every day Radio walks by the school, watching the football team training. While lingering by the fence of the high school football field one afternoon, the boy catches†¦show more content†¦For Christmas, Radio spends time with Coach Jones’ family, and receives presents from people all over the town. The next day after Christmas Radio does what probably not many would do, he took all the presents and put them at people’s door, wishing them â€Å"Marry Christmas†. The joy that there was on his face while he was doing that was greater than when he received the presents. Through this action Radio teaches an amazing lesson of giving, loving, and selflessness. After his mother dies, Radio is heartbroken and alone. Coach Jones continues to b e by his side, and in a moment of honesty, decides to share with his daughter why was he doing what he was doing with Radio. He tells her the story about when he was a young boy and while training through the woods, he saw a boy about his age, kept inside a fenced area. He did not know what was wrong with him, but though he ran that route for two years, he â€Å"never did anything about it†. Radio appears to be his second chance to do something, a chance to redeem himself, to make a difference. Though more people become sensible to Radio, the coachs mentoring incites angry opposition from a local banker, Frank Clay whose bullying son, Johnny is the towns star athlete. The Needs of the Clients The first need of a customer is the physical need. The client would need help physically if they cannot do some of the things on their own. Some of the physical needs would include washing, dressing, walking and eating. The stronger individuals would need help regarding being contributed to engaging in physical activities to maintain healthy bodies and also in boosting their health. The other need is the emotional need. The client may want to feel that they are still loved and have not been neglected. Most are bound to feel lonely especially if they are not together with their family members (Forman, 2003). The others might suffer emotionally especially for the elderly when they are bereaved and have no one to comfort them or talk to about the loss. The social need is among the needs of the client. The client may want to relate with other people and have friends around them. Incontinence aids include products such as Pads for ladies and are commonly used for clients with moderate or substantial leakage thus common in women than in men. Some of the aids are suitable for bowel leakage and worn on the body. The client requires assistance in changing the aids and disposal. Personal Care aids include products shavers and washing materials. The personal care aid is necessary among all dependent persons and revolves around personal needs such as washing or shaving. Some of the personal care needs require extra support to the client and are applied based on the need such as washing materials that can be used to maintain the clients hygiene. The level of assistance required is high since some of the clients have less or no ability to be independent. Communication aids include computers, alphabet boards, and charts. The aids are necessary to clients with communication problem and are based on making communication easier and quicker. Some communication aids are simple to use such as charts displaying large letters while others are complex such as electronic devices. In this regard, the communication aids require high-level assistance to the client to enable them to have the ability to use the aids. Effective actions in addressing the client needs require the identification of the clients problems such as communication to determine the best aid to deal with the problem. More care should also be provided irrespective of the aids given to increase the feeling of self-dignity and respect among the clients. Using the aids plays a significant role in enhancing assistance to the customer needs. Some of the clients cannot be assisted without the aids suggesting that the aids improve the quality of care provided. Conclusively, the research provides the understanding the caring aids have a significant impact on dependent persons. They enhance the ability to address clients needs, emotionally, physically, social and intellectually. Answer: In order to evolve the language system within the students in a school environment, the Australian curriculum has introduced the four concepts namely the genre, the field, the tenor and mode. Genre is the functional term that refers to the language process that denoted certain actions. Thus in an Australian English curriculum the teachers uses the five major genres namely describing, explaining, instructing, arguing and narrating to frame the grammatical languages. Moreover, Young Walsh, (2010) opined that in order to frame the language structures the use of Fields are necessary. Fields are the subject matter and hence the choice of the language for the discussion of each field is different from the other. Tenor helps the individuals to frame the language in a connecting and sympathetic manner at the time of delivery to the audience. Mode on the contrary refers to the channels of communication and the type of language that should be used for each channel. Derewianka Jones (2012) su ggested that ion schools the two types of modes are written and oral and it is necessary for the teachers to teach the students to use different languages for different types of modes. In the context of Australian English curriculum, the teachers may use the different aspects of the above model in order to help the students understand the grammatical language.
